Leesa has been a board member of Foodshed Capital since January 2022 and serves on the board Finance Committee. She is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Bankers Insurance, an insurance agency headquartered in Glen Allen, VA. As CFO, she is responsible for providing financial strategy and overseeing the capital of the company.

Prior to joining Bankers Insurance, she was the accounting director for Markel Ventures, a wholly owned subsidiary of Markel, where she was responsible for the financial results. She has also held the role of a senior auditor at Keiter, CPA where her clients consisted of non-profits, manufacturing, and financial service companies. Leesa received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from The College of William and Mary, where she subsequently received a Masters of Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Leesa also serves on the board of directors of Children’s Home Society of Virginia and Bridging Virginia.
