Cranberry Creek Farm
Monroe County, PA
Low-interest bridge loan funded Dec. 2021
After years of producing farmstead cheeses, heirloom veggies, and eggs, and distributing at farmers markets from New to York to Philadelphia, Cranberry Creek faced serious challenges from the pandemic and had to temporarily liquidate their goat herd. Now, they're getting back on their feet and have consulted with our partners at Kitchen Table Consultants to create a business and marketing plan to increase their resilience in the years to come. Their practices include holistic management, planned grazing, and silvopasture. Their low-interest loan will serve as bridge funding through the Pennsylvania Farm Vitality Planning Grant program, which helps enhance the long-term viability of Pennsylvania farms through sound business planning, efficient transitions of farm ownership, strategic farm expansion, and diversification of agricultural production.
