We attend the Rural Beacon Initiative groundbreaking ceremony, and make our first loan in support of the Agrarian Commons. We also share a new report on the intersection of regenerative agriculture and climate change.

April 2022

We introduce our new Lending Coordinator, recount our Executive Director's trip to Paicines Ranch in California to convene with FORA - Funders for Regenerative Agriculture - and share with joy about our first in-person meeting in too long.

March 2022

We share the impact of our bookkeeping workshop series, announce yet another job opening, and recap an exciting first quarter with nearly 100% of loans going to BIPOC operations.

February 2022

Our Director of Operations returns from maternity leave to share news of an exciting first quarter. We announce a new job opening and urge our farmer community to participate in the National Young Farmers Coalition survey.

January 2022

We receive substantial grant through the Virginia Small Business Resiliency Fund grant and share our annual report. We also introduce a new staff and board member.

December 2021

As we close our third year of lending, we revisit our "why." We also share details about our co-presentation with Steward Lending at the upcoming Future Harvest Conference, and announce our new initiative, The Common Wealth Partnership.

November 2021

We announce the first in a series of no-cost bookkeeping workshops for farmers, share news of our board member's permaculture training, and our Director of Operations signs off before beginning maternity leave.
